My new print. Taking it along to the Auckland Art & Craft Fair today! 11am - 4pm at the Aotea centre.

I managed to get a few pictures at the opening last night, there was some awesome work there and I just had to buy that one by Devon Smith for my wall. It is so tiny and finely detailed, I don’t know how she does it!

I’ve got a couple of drawings in this exhibition which opens on Friday night at The High Seas in Auckland. Pretty nerve-wracking being among the likes of Henrietta Harris and Devon Smith! (Devon did the fantastic illustration on the poster).

Been busy stamping bags with my new stamp to get ready for the Auckland Art & Craft Fair tomorrow. I’m also eagerly awaiting delivery of my brand new letterpress prints which I will be selling at the fair, along with a selection of organic cotton baby onesies and tees, tea towels, totes & stationery.

an interview…

Doing interviews there is always (always? Like I am a seasoned interviewee!) the risk that people will find out you are not as cool as they first thought, in fact, maybe you sound like a bit of a doofus. I hope I don’t sound like too much of a doofus - you can read my interview on the Auckland Art + Craft Fair blog here if you like and see for yourself…

Come one, come all…

I have been avoiding doing this for a while, but something finally got me into gear - I am having a stall at the Auckland Art + Craft Fair! I think it’s going to be GREAT - Jess & Kylie, the organisers, are putting so much work into promotion and the event itself. I had to fill in a form which asked for a website or blog address, so here you go. There are talented stallholders travelling from miles around for it, so mark it in your diary - 24th of July at the Auckland City Art Gallery.

…I can’t imagine there’ll be too much going on here, but I’ll try to keep it up to date with Miss Ellie May news for anyone who’s interested. Bear with me while I figure out how this all works.
